Have you ever thought about the strange things that get delivered by couriers? Neither had
- Until now.
You’re about to find out about the funniest and weirdest deliveries, ever. So, be prepared to face-palm in disbelief and laugh out loud in pure absurdity.
A mother’s love
One day, a son received a delicious fully-cooked shepherd’s pie. Seems fairly normal, right? Wrong.
Turns out his mother posted the shepherd’s pie 450 miles away! What was going on in her mind? We can only assume she was blinded by her love for her son and felt he deserved a little taste from home.
As to whether the son ate the pie or not, again, we can only assume – or hope, not. If he did, it would most likely have been ill from the posted shepherd’s pie. But who knows?
P.S If you have ever received food from your relatives through the post, please let us know! We are interested to see if this is a common occurrence.
The tooth fairy
The tooth fairy is real! Although, they don’t get the teeth from the pillow of a sleeping kid. They actually send them through the post, apparently…
Yes, this is real. A tooth was sent encased in a padded envelope and was delivered with a note. The note was written by the courier (we assume) stating: “Please be advised that human remains may not be transported through the mail, but we assumed this to be of sentimental value and made an exception in your case”.
Well, we hope the tooth fairy got paid for their efforts!
The architect
80,000 bricks were sent through the mail back in 1916 by William H. Coltharp, a businessman.
He was constructing a bank form specially requested bricks for the bank in Utah. Why he didn’t just transport them himself, we don’t know. But, he succeeded in posted 80,000 special Utah bricks, so kudos to Mr. Coltharp.
