VICTORIA HAYES MAKES A STUNNING NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DEBUT HAPPY FASHION – HAPPY PLACE

Like a breath of fresh air, designer VICTORIA HAYES breezed through New York Fashion week with her debut collection. A tidal wave of fashion freshness that exemplified the three Favorable F’s of Fashion – `Fun, Feminine & Functional.’ Rarely does a runway debut collection have such a powerful impression on the jaded fashion crowd? Victoria is a fashion perfectionist whose attention to detail goes beyond the obvious. Empowerment has always been the core of her designs. Since launching her brand in 2016, Veronica’s aim has always been to make the wearer feel strong and confident.

SPACE JAM – So, for Spring/Summer 2020, Veronica presented hand-painted prints with a Tropical Flair. This made up a large part of the collection, alongside silks and ornate embellishments. Peasant blouses, flared skirts, flowing duster coats, oversized blazers with Swarovski crystals and some dramatic `cut-outs’ completed the mix. The designer said that the theme of the show was “Space Jam”  and 90’s nostalgia. `This collection explores the dichotomy of present-day womanhood: beautiful and aggressive, romantic yet protective, tough but precious.’

AWARD WINNER – Victoria hails from Toronto, Canada, where her introduction to the fashion world came by way of the popular television show “Fashion Television” hosted by Jeanne Becker who Victoria saw as a major influence. She was a pre-med student at McMaster’s University when she realized that her passion for fashion was stronger than her career in medicine. Victoria enrolled in summer courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and later Parsons The New School for Design where she graduated with a BFA. Veronica won the prestigious school’s top honor `Women’s Wear Designer of the Year 2014′ Her work has since been featured in several fashion publications including Vogue Italia, Paper Magazine, Elle, WWD, Harper’s Bazaar, Nylon and V Magazine.

CELEBRITY EXPOSURE – It’s amazing that over 50 celebrities have worn Victoria Hayes creations on the red carpet, for photo shoots and on their own, yet the designer is still not a household name. With this Spring/Summer 2020 collection we hope that will change. Some of the celebs who has worn Victoria Hayes include: Sharon Stone, Fergie, Tiffany Haddish, Laverne Cox, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Chaka Khan, Alicia Keys, Cyndi Lauper, Chrissy Teigen, Rossy De Palma, Debra Messing, Kelly Osbourne, Nicki Minaj, Carrie Underwood, Andra Day, Megan Goode, Taylor Swift, Lil Kim, Madonna, Ming Lee Simmons, Meghan Trainor, Lion Babe, Kandi Burruss, Issa Rae, Janelle Monet, Leona Lewis, Kelsea Ballerini, Ebonee Davis and Erin Andrews,
