A massive street festival on and around the 14th Street, Union Square area in New York City, had the potential of upstaging designer
RON RAMOS Spring/Summer 2020 presentation, staged in an open storefront on Broadway near 14th Street. Models posed in front of huge blocks of greenery wearing Ron’s creations. Stripes, plaids and sheer was the focus as bursts of color emerged as fashion facts in this feminine collection. Ron’s press material describes his creations as providing; `The genuine expression of effortless dressing and quotidian luxe-wear.’
FLOUNCES AND CHAMPAGNE
The show-space featured a champagne bar tucked in the back, which proved to be an added treat for guests who viewed the collection between sips of bubbly. Cameras captured Ron’s vision for Spring/Summer 2020 including the off-shoulder, double flounced long-sleeved top, with a low-rise vegan leather panel yoke jean which was positioned at the entrance of the venue. A dramatic red high-neck tulle top featuring a ruffled peplum, and a 3-tier ruffled sleeve, leading into a mini layered flounced skirt, were among Ron’s standouts.
