5 Ways to Style a Scarf This Summer

Season after season, we tend to refresh our wardrobe with new, trendy items, as well as a few classic pieces. Then we tend to admire the beauty and the style of those pieces, and wear them a few times, after which they usually fall behind, and their place gets taken by other seasonal items. Scarves definitely belong in that group. A gorgeous scarf is truly a timeless piece, which can make any outfit elegant and sophisticated. And although you may think otherwise, a lovely scarf is a summer must-have.

That is why we bring your five ways to rock your favorite scarf this summer.

As an unusual belt

You probably never thought that a scarf could be used as a belt, but why not? Of course, you will need a wider one, which you can fold so that the pattern and the colors of the scarf still remain visible. That’s why it is best to combine it with monochromatic dresses or blazers. A vivid, silk scarf will perfectly complement a white, summer dress or a black, linen blazer. Combine the look with some gold jewelry (but opt for only earrings or only a necklace) and a spacious, straw tote. You will get the ideal, comfy, and trendy look for a day out and about when the temperatures get too high.

As an accessory to your ponytail

We all know that a high pony is our hairstyle of choice on a hot summer day. Easy to make and keeps the hair away, plus it is a classic hairdo that looks good on everyone. However, what if you can spice up this hairstyle a bit? Start by putting your hair in a sleek, high ponytail. As this hairdo will look best on long hair, don’t hesitate to use a simple trick to get the desired length. Simply get yourself some high-quality Russian hair extensions with a soft and silky texture that you can seamlessly blend with your natural hair. Make sure that the color of the extensions is the same as the color of your hair, and once you have the extensions in, brush through the hair and make a high ponytail.

Secure it with a transparent elastic, as in this case, you don’t want any colorful scrunchies. Then all that’s left to do is to wrap the scarf around the elastic. This will give even more volume to the ponytail, while at the same time inserting a romantic and Parisian vibe to your total look.

As a choker

An off-the-shoulder maxi dress will look even more gorgeous if you accessorize it with a choker. Instead of going for a silver or gold jewelry, be creative and unique with a lovely, vintage scarf. Fold the scarf in a triangle and roll it up. Then simply wrap it around the neck and tie the ends on either left or right side of your neck. You can choose to tuck in the loose ends or to leave them to casually hang, which will make the total look even chicer. The choker-scarf doesn’t have to be worn exclusively on maxi dresses; you can combine it with a classic summer look, such as a white tee and a pair of high-waisted denim shorts. This little accessory will truly add a touch of glamour to any outfit.

As a chic top

If you are bored of pairing your jeans, shorts, and skirts with your usual blouses and shirts, try wearing one of your beloved silk scarves as a top. You can simply tie the scarf up in front, around your chest, and get a wonderful top. Pair it with high-waisted jeans and some cute sandals, and to be extra safe, opt to wear a nude, strapless bra underneath the scarf. On the other hand, if you are about to hit the beach, combine bikini bottoms and a scarf as the top part. You can opt for monochromatic bottoms and a logo-printed scarf. Tie it at the back and let the triangle shape at the front serve as an unusual bikini top.

As a bracelet

Stacked bracelets are a summer trend that has been popular for a few seasons now. And although you will not make a mistake if you choose to wear a couple of your favorite bracelets stacked this summer, you can try another exquisite option. Fold a colorful scarf so that you get a thin silhouette and wrap it around your wrist multiple times. Finish by tying the scarf in a tight knot. You will get the perfect accessory that you can combine with your business and casual outfits.

To sum up, we can say that there are numerous ways in which you style a scarf this summer. From hair accessory to an exquisite top, there is no doubt that quality, a silk scarf is the most popular item of this season.
