My experience in the fashion industry began after graduating from FIT with a degree in fashion merchandising. However, my “street smarts” proved my most valuable resource. Through hard work and determination, I gained leading roles in notable 7th Avenue showrooms, including Cherokee and White Room, representing better designers. This experience allowed me to develop a keen understanding of the industry and the needs of designers and retailers.

Before establishing FashionEdits in 2010, I owned and operated a multiline showroom on 7th Ave in NYC’s Garment Industry. Here, I worked to help up-and-coming fashion designers establish product placement with department and specialty retailers. This experience gave me a unique perspective on the challenges faced by emerging designers and the importance of having access to industry relationships and resources.

In addition to my experience in the US market, I also have experience in international markets in the EU and SA as the owner of 4-M, an Import/Export company specializing in denim. This experience has allowed me to develop a global perspective on the fashion industry and the importance of understanding cultural differences and market trends.

My experience and background are ideal for early-stage and emerging designers with limited resources but designer-sized needs. I have an industry reputation for insight and industry relationships and have been a chairperson on the FGI fashion committee board. Through my work with FashionEdits, I have mentored and advocated for sustainable fashion practices, which are essential for the industry’s future.
