“Details on Beyoncé’s haircare line launch and products”
The singer-songwriter has many beautiful memories attached to her hair.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launched her haircare line Cécred. The name is a play on the word ‘sacred’. The new line is Queen Bey’s lifelong dream.
Inspired by growing up and helping out in her mother Tina Knowles’ salon, Cécred prioritizes the needs of textured hair and other hair types that lack strength and moisture.
The foundation collection has eight cruelty-free products. They cleanse, condition, and visibly repair. It’s infused with a signature Temple Oud fragrance.

“The journey of creating Cécred has taken years;
And I’m so proud to reveal what we’ve been working on finally,” said the 42-year-old Cécred founder and chairwoman Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.
“As a Black founder, it was important to me to concentrate on where I saw the greatest need for healthy haircare and to place scientific innovation and product performance above all else.
“I’ve worn my hair natural, flat-ironed, braided, colored, weaved, and with wigs. I want everyone to express their hair freely. That’s why I created essentials for hair health.”
Beyoncé’s vision is to be an “inclusive force of excellence in the haircare industry” while celebrating hair rituals across global cultures and dispelling myths and misconceptions.

The launch range has several products including Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub for $31, Hydrating Shampoo for $25, Moisturizing Deep Conditioner for $31, Reconstructing Treatment Mask for $34, Moisture Sealing Lotion for $31, and Nourishing Hair Oil for $36. More products are on the way.
The products redefine keratin recovery with a patent-pending technology. It’s made from wool-derived keratin, honey, and lactobacillus. The ancient process of fermentation enhances the keratin proteins. They penetrate deep into the hair and closely match depleted proteins. This visibly repairs and strengthens weak or damaged hair.. Formulated without silicones which mask damage with an artificial coating”.
The entertainer talked with Essence Magazine. She explained that her brand’s aim was to provide inclusive and accessible technology for women of all backgrounds and hair types, something she had been unable to find previously. I built this from the ground up and funded it myself.”
In partnership with her philanthropic foundation, BeyGOOD, Beyoncé has also launched the BeyGOOD x Cécred fund, an annual $500,000 award for cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants, to champion the hairdressing community, develop new talent and support entrepreneurship.

The launch occurred following a major achievement by the American singer-songwriter. She became the first black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. This happened after her new single, Texas Hold ‘Em, debuted at number one on Tuesday.
The mother-of-three also released another single, 16 Carriages, from her upcoming eighth studio album.
