It truly was a revolutionary night in New York City, when legendary host/promoter/showgirl and Queen of New York Nightlife Susanne Bartsch, hosted MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss Cabaret at Sony Hall (formerly Diamond Horse Shoe) on Tuesday night. The evening also celebrated 25 years of MAC Viva Glam Lipstick, where proceeds of the sales have raised some $500,000,000. that goes to AIDS/HIV causes.
KISSABLE SHADES & COLORS
In lush tones with exotic names like; `Sexy but Sweet,’ `Velvet Punch,’`P for Potent’ and `Ripened,’ among them, the lipstick was worn by all of the performers on stage as well as the show boys and girls that mingled, and were perched in the audience doing what they do best – performing.
GAME-CHANGING
MAC Cosmetics has totally reinvented the whole lipstick situation by delivering a game-changing alternative to the regular. MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss features a romantic blur of soft-focus color. This weightless moisture matte lipstick was developed to replicate the backstage technique of blending out edges of matte lipstick for a hazy effect. Its groundbreaking formula contains moisture-coated powder pigments that condition and hydrate lips. The result is the zero-shine look of a matte lipstick with the cushiony, lightweight feel of a balm.
MAC PROOF SUPREME TALENT
For the exciting cabaret show, actor Allan Cummings and host Susanne Bartsch served as the evening’s MCs and brought a plethora of entertainers to the stage; from burlesque and opera to a stripping juggler, fabulous drag, exotic dancers and circus spectaculars, in what can be described as a spectacular cabaret extravaganza. At the end of each performance, one of the MCs asked each performer what shade of MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick they were wearing. Among the performers were the legendary Amanda Lepore, Joey Aires, Dirty Martini, Julie Atlas Muz, Shaqueda, and Fou York Ha!.
