5 Popular Styles of Shoes from the Past Decade

Shoe styles, like fashion, change like the seasons. The past decade has had some of the most exciting trends. And comfortability has finally been recognized as fashionable. This was the decade when sneakers were invited to the party. “The party.” Below are the five popular styles of shoes from the past decade.

1. The Dad Shoe

In 2017, the Dad shoe style appeared with the Balenciaga Triple S sneaker. Not only was 2017 the highlight for Dad’s shoes, but it was also challenging to determine if the trend would last. However, it was apparent that this trend of the sneaker remains.

The Dad sneaker became famous because of the overall feeling of nostalgia, even though they are unattractive to some. The homely feel, the Dad sneaker trend continues to evolve. With an orthopedic sense, they had good use, and besides their horrific appearance, you may end up despising this trend and wishing it never happened.

2. The Wedge Sneaker

In 2012, the wedge sneaker was everywhere, and the most popular wedge sneaker at the time was the version inspired by Isabel Marant. However, many other brands also made their appearance. In the mid-2010s, wedge sneakers continued to become very popular; it seems to be the new pattern that stylish can also be comfortable. The shoes were very comfortable, and many used them to replace heels. Before becoming popular in the late 2010s, the sneaker was used for more functions than anything else.

3. The White Sneaker Trend

No other shoe can make a go-to sneaker like the white sneakers. Not only were the white sneakers popular, but they grew far above expectations as a trend. While many brands were sporting white sneakers, Adidas was the brand that seemed to introduce the movement through its Stan Smith collection as well as its Superstar, which was among many to be revived among the Gen-Z and millennial sets, which created a boom for the Adidas brand. With the fact that a white shoe can be paired with any style, it is no wonder that it remained a trend for a few years.

4. The Platforms

Platform pumps and strappy shoes are still the most trendy shoes for women; the platform was popular at the start of 2010. The media are still trending in fashion. This trend is a good substitute, for there fit well with many fashionable dresses and have been worn by those wanting to be seen with them.

A trendy part of the platforms was that they were revived during the 2010s to help celebrate their interest in them during the 80s and that the media were able to make you feel like having fun and that the platform would help with that. The platforms helped the wearer to reach a certain level of joy and euphoria. At the same time, the current designers of platforms were able to become more established due to bringing back this style.

5. Legomania Shoes

Regardless of the style of shoes, you wore throughout the decade, legos seemed to grow the shoe’s popularity. This trend defined a decade as legos were seen in every type of fashion besides shoes. The inclusion of legos enhanced shoes and provided a nostalgic feel. Many high-end shoe brands also included the legos as a lovely monogram.

Conclusion

Having shoes as comfortable as the ones in the past decade was friendly and easy to come by. Plus, the shoe styles were also the most popular at the time. Not only were the types popular with adults, but they were also a hit with the younger crowd as they matched perfectly with fashion. While many of the styles above no longer exist, it was nice to experience them throughout the decade.
