New York Fashion Week September 2019 Prabal Gurung wastes no time to challenge the mainstream media to embrace culture other than that of a westernized one. For his Spring 2020 collection, he shines a light on his Nepalese roots via his set design and his collection’s vivid colors. Seeing it as a whole, the collection encourages more of the sportswear silhouette having a lot of the womenswear pieces with cutouts and pull cords to cling to their bodies and menswear, a first for Gurung, with windbreakers and knee-length bottoms.
